STM Update 9.8.26
In early September 2026, hundreds of widows from Plateau, Kaduna and other states in central Nigeria, gathered together for several days for spiritual encouragement, medical attention, networking and the blessing of gifts of staple foods to take home. STM supporters were privileged to sponsor this event. We have received word that all of the participants made it home safely, even though some needed to travel through dangerous areas to do so.
We have received some bits of phone video and some slide shows linked below that you can watch and we will provide details as they come in over the next few weeks.
OPENING SONG
With all of the fear and attacks that these widows face, especially without the protection of husbands, some have turned to shamans, amulets and magic charms for protection - even among the Christians. In the teaching session today on Gen 35:1-3, they were challenged not to trust in “other gods”. The video below shows a time of repentance and rededication to God after the challenge.
